How It Works
A race night usually consists of eight races, and usually lasts for about three hours.
The M.C. will introduce the race and read out the owners, jockeys and sponsors then invite the audience to place their bets.
When the betting is finished, the M.C. will close the betting and invite one of the audience to choose a race DVD from a box of about 20.
The DVD is put into the player and the race is run.
After the finish, the winning horse and pay-out is announced and the winners invited to collect their winnings.
At the end, everyone has had fun and the nominated charity is considerably better off!
Not just horses!
To mix things up a bit we also have DVDs of greyhound racing, Afgan hound racing & pig racing!
The party alternative
And don't forget, we can just organise a race night for fun. If you're holding a party or special celebration and want an alternative to a disco, why not hold a race night instead. For those not so keen on dancing it makes a great evening!
